MM6 Polymer Matt Varnish can be used as a final varnish over a dried, well-cured acrylic painting when a flat, matt or very low sheen is required (and the use of MM15 Matt Varnish (turps-based) is not appropriate). Most suitable as a protective coating particularly over large works exposed to damage in public galleries, commercial paintings required for floodlit photographic reproduction and paintings that would be improved by eliminating unbalanced glossy highlights. Although white in colour, MM6 Polymer Matt Vanish dries completely clear and is non-yellowing.

MM11 Polyurethane Satin Varnish is a very popular varnish used in folk art techniques. Always stir before use to ensure even distribution of the matting agent. This water-based finishing varnish provides a clear, non-yellowing and hard-wearing finish for all hard surfaces painted with acrylic paints. MM7 Polymer Gloss Varnish & Medium serves both as a gloss finishing varnish and as a glossy additive to the paint. The use of this varnish will help maintain colour intensity with a gloss finish comparable to that of oil paintings. Mixed with Matisse Colours, it increases gloss and flow characteristics. Used as a finishing varnish, it produces a strong, protective, tack-free, clear film. Pictures treated with MM7 Polymer Gloss Varnish will look like work done with oil paints or shiny enamel. Matisse MM33 UV Conservation Varnish produces a hard, non-yellowing, UV protected coating similar in appearance to Damar varnish. it is a final clear gloss varnish (similar to Matisse MM14 Gloss Varnish), quick drying, designed to give your painting that final “glow”, but with the added benefit of UV protection. This makes it ideal for varnishing items that will be exposed to daylight or for extending the light fastness of items that are not traditionally so e.g. printed images from your home printer. The Click and Collect option, as a free shipping option, is conditional upon the customer collecting the order directly from The Rocks store – 3 Cambridge Street – The Rocks – NSW – 2000, during standard business hours, once the customer has been advised the order is ready and compiled for collection.
If this option is selected as part of the checkout process and the customer cannot collect the order in person, the customer agrees that arrangements will be made for a paid shipping option to be applied to the order and paid, prior to the order being shipped.
Click and Collect orders must be collected by the purchaser of the order with proof identity provided at the time of collection. This is to avoid fraudulent online transactions.
PACKING OF FRAGILE ITEMS
Paper is a fragile product, and our goal is to ensure it arrives to you safely. Extra packing will be used to ship it safely and although we do not charge for this, there may be an increase in logistics charges. We recommend that you consider purchasing a minimum of 5 sheets or pack quantities to both save on purchase price and shipping charges.
We aim to ensure you receive your art supplies in good condition.
ORDER FULFILLMENT
Orders that include all in stock items, that are received prior to 1pm (Monday to Friday), will generally be processed and shipped the same day. At the time of shipping you will receive a confirmation of your order having been sent and a tracking link so you can check estimated delivery times and the status of your delivery at all times.
FULFILLMENT OF BACK ORDERS
Products may display as in stock online, however during the period of the order being received to our physical store, the item may have changed to a status of 'out of stock' due to sales crossover from instore purchases. On these occasions one of our staff members will contact you and offer to order the product in (Australian suppliers only) and ship the order complete, when the ordered product has arrived. This may delay shipping by up to 4-5 days. We can also arrange to remove the product from the order and ship the balance of the goods to you. At all times we will keep you informed and will be guided by your instructions.
Unfortunately we do not offer freight free shipping of back orders.
